    Re: Integration of the project

Good. Can you describe about those small applications? What do they do and how do you want to integrate them in one application? I mean, how do you want them to be seen in your single application?

    Re: Integration of the project

If you have several pieces that you've tested separately and now want to bind them together, one option is to use static libraries. Basically you have a master project that references the others, and the subsidiary projects are configured (via their PRO files) to generate .lib files rather than .exe/.sis. The .lib files get bound into the .exe/.sis of the main project. It involves several secret incantations in the PRO file that I can explain, if that's what you want.)

Another option is to simply copy all of the source files into one project. Then you either have one main PRO file that lists all source parts (simple, but not well structured), or the main PRO file references subsidiary PRO files somehow (something I've not tried to figure out yet).

Then there's the option of creating .dlls for the subsidiary projects, and loading them separately, to be dynamically bound when the main project runs.

    Hi Kiran..

See i can not tell you about the apps. I am very sorry for that.
see what i want is i have three different apps and for combining them I am creating a widget based GUI where i can give option to select the apps. I am little confused about linking all of them together. Can you suggest the steps so that i can accomplished it.
Your little help will be appreciable.

    Re: Integration of the project

    To create/use staticlibs:

In the PRO file of the referenced project you change the TEMPLATE from app to lib, and add

    CONFIG += staticlib

In the PRO file of a project (app or lib) that references this lib you add

INCLUDEPATH += ../TheFirstProject (this makes the first project's .H files available to the using project)

In the PRO file of the app that uses all your staticlibs you say

    LIBS += -lTheFirstProject.lib\
    -lTheSecondProject.lib

I think that's it, but there's a possibility I left out something. And there are variations, such as explicitly specifying where the lib files are stored.
