Wonder Which Way Is Best For Writing Qt For Maemo On Windows

    Hi,

I got the inquirement as the title, after spending a couple of days on coming to understand how to configure the platform of qt for maemo, on Windows(Vista).

Now I have installed the ESbox IDE on my Windows, with a virtual machine running maemoSDK image. But I think using the ESbox to write a qt program is not as convenient as using Qt Creator for Symbian, since it is not designed for Qt initially. Just wonder if there is a better choice? (without installing a linux OS)

    Cheers.

    Just some simple question here:
From http://wiki.maemo.org/MADDE/Qt_extended_example/Part1, I found something very interesting that I can write a program using Qt Creator (which I prefer), and then test the application on the device immediately,http://wiki.maemo.org/MADDE/Device_runtime. I think this is quite cool. However, my question is the project created by Qt Creator does not have the subdirectory named "debian" which is neccesary to create the debian package with MADDE terminal. Then MADDE won't work if I want to get the debian package. Have I missed some information for this?

    Cheers.

Just grab (and slightly modify) the debian/ directory from some Qt example project, e.g. one you get by running

    mad pscreate -t qt_simple qthello

The best way to learn Maemo is to install Ubuntu or Debian and use it for a development.
