    Hi,
I can't find solution how to add System capabilities to my sis package

I go to www.symbiansigned.com, then i chose Open Signed Online section
When page opens it is written:

    Open Signed Online

Open Signed Online (BETA) Service Information

Open Signed Online beta service has now moved to 24hour availability
    ..................................
    ..................................
SIS files can be signed for all Platform Security Capabilities except CommDD, MultimediaDD, NetworkControl, DiskAdmin, DRM, AllFiles, TCB.
But how to sign sis files with capabilities like
    LocalServices
    UserEnvironment
    NetworkServices
    ReadUserData
    WriteUserData

What capabilities do you actually need? For the ones you list you can use self-signing, and Carbide.c++ or Qt Creator can take care of that your you if you make sure to enable proper configuration for your project.

For manual signing you can create the self-signing certificates using makekeys.exe and then apply them to the sis file using signsis.exe.

You can also use the Symbian Signed Online process since the capabilities are not among the ones listed as excluded by the online service.

make sure to enable proper configuration for your project.
Can you tell me how to be sure ? I need these capabilities:
NetworkServices - to get information about Cell ID and signal strength.
Location - to get GPS coordinates.

Is this the right configuration ?

Those capabilities could also be used in self-signed applications (pre-3rd ed FP2 location would not be included though), so you could also check the wiki pages for self-signing.

To retrieve Cell ID information, I think you would need ReadDeviceData capability.

I have read a lot of material including:

    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...cation_Signing
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Capabilities
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...e_Applications
    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...cation_signing

    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...-by-Step_Guide
    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...Symbian_Signed
    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...Symbian_Signed)
    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...Symbian_Signed
    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...ry:Self_Signed

But I haven’t found anywhere a line where is written, for example:
If you want o add Network capability to your hello_world.sis or hello_world project, go to tools->....... or use program named xxxxx with specific command XXX or if you want to use ReadDeviceData capability please add these lines in your project files..

Can you post tutorial link... or maybe you can tell me the steps, how to add capabilities to my project.

you could either manually add the capabilities into the mmp file, just have a line that starts with CAPABILITY word, then have the capabilities there separated by space, or you could open the mmp file with carbide, click the options tab, and see from the upper left corder the capability selection.

Re: how to request System capabilities www.symbiansigned.com

Of course, in the standard Qt/Symbian build configuration the MMP file gets overwritten every time you build, so add this to your PRO file, to have it reflected in the MMP.

TARGET.CAPABILITY = "ReadUserData WriteUserData LocalServices (etc)"
