    Streaming Video

    Hi All,

    I have managed to successfully send small video clips via MMS, I am now trying to send a link to streaming video via MMS. My SMIL file is as below:

    <smil xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/SMIL20/Language">
    <head>
    <layout>
    <root-layout width="160" height="140" />
    <region id="Image" width="160" height="120" left="0" top="0" fit="meet"/>
    <region id="Text" width="160" height="20" left="0" top="120" />
    </layout>
    </head>
    <body>
    <par>
    <video src="rtsp://dev.alatto3g.com:6999/simptest.rm" region="Image"/>
    <text src="cid:test.txt" region="Text" />
    </par>
    </body>
    </smil>

    The text message displays correctly, but the video tag seems to be completely ignored, there is no attempt to connect to the server.

    Anybody managed to get streaming working ?

    Hamish

    Hello!

    You have to refer to local video clip that was delivered with the MMS message. Have a look to one example posted in MMS forums. The RealOne player is not integrated to the MMS viewer.

    Another way could be to include the RAM file to your MMS message. This RAM file could be pointing to your stream. Have a look to real web site for the syntax of the RAM file.
