    TCG software stack

    Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to use a TCG software stack (e.g. http://trousers.sourceforge.net/) on Nokia phones. I am unable to locate appropriate documentation for it in Nokia site. If this is not available in off-the shelve devices, is there any documentation telling how to install this on nokia phones. I will like to use most-recent phones/tablets (e.g. N900) if possible.

    Thanks.

    Re: TCG software stack

You will not find documentation about a non-Nokia project on a Nokia web site. And since we're talking about an open source software project on a site for software developers, such as this one, the question should not be "how to install?" but rather "how to build?" it.

You should ask for help on project's mailing lists (http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=126012) to find out whether there is a Maemo port available, and some productized implementation of it which you can install and use (if that's all that you need).

Maemo is btw. the OS which powers N900 and it is in no way connected to Symbian, the OS we discuss on these forums.

    Re: TCG software stack

I mentioned trousers and nokia n900 only as examples. I am trying to choose the best platform right now. Many of the symbian phones are using the ARM processor chips which have trustzone functionality built into it. To make the question specific to Symbian experts, I would like to know does Symbian provide an API to access these hardware components to perform cryptographic operations and store keys in hardware (PCRs) etc. Please feel free to suggest best device for this type of development.

    Thanks.
