    Question grab Frame/Image using QCamera

    Hi there!

    Yes I know Qt Mobility is still at Beta stage and QCamera is still experimental in Tech Preview.

    Anyway I would like to know if there is or will be a way to grab the latest frame/image from QCamera or QVideoWidget etc.
    I searched the whole library as well as Qt itself, but I couldn't find an "easy" way to do this.
    The only way I can think of is to save an image to disk and grab it again.

    Regards

    Because QVideoWidget inherited from QWidget you can use function render - http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.6/qwidget.html#render
    //in constructor
    m_camera = new QCamera;
    m_videoWidget= new QVideoWidget(m_camera);

    //on timer
    QSize sz = this->m_videoWidget->size();
    QImage img ( sz, QImage::Format_RGB32 );
    this->m_videoWidget->render ( &img );

    and after this you can do what you want with camerasnap
