I suppose the last line is commented out, since it would fail on all devices, anyway, check the application manager settings that you have disabled online certificate checkings as well as allowed installation to all. Then if that one does not help, try removing line one-by-one untill you find the one that the device does not like.

Re: Application Installation Fails on E71x

    Hi,
I commented last line and tried again but tht doesnt worked
actually we have tested on n79 but client is having E71x, we dont have E71x for testing here.

The rest of the lines are having general paths :

    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\release\$(PLATFORM)\$(TARGET)\MyApplication.exe" -"!:\sys\bin\MyApplication.exe"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\MyApplication.r01" -"!:\resource\apps\MyApplication.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)Epoc32\data\z\private\10003a3f\apps\MyApplication_reg.r01" -"!:\private\10003a3f\import\apps\MyApplication_reg.r01"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\MyApplication_aif.mif" -"!:\resource\apps\MyApplication_aif.mif"
    "$(EPOCROOT)epoc32\data\z\resource\apps\MyApplication.mbm" -"!:\resource\apps\MyApplication.mbm"

Still these lines can cause problem in installation ????

Where is that error message displayed. It is way too verbose for the phone and I have't seen that message or error code before. Can you show a screenshot?

Also, E71x is a S60 3.2 based device so the trick described at http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/blog/lu...er-debug-guide should work on it. See if it helps.

Jukka's advice is of course valid, and I am still puzzled as to where that error message would be displayed.

Re: Application Installation Fails on E71x

    Hi fellows,

A bit old thread but I face this problem currently so any news about this issue? I use 6730 and seems that pkg file where I use udeb binaries is installing correctly. But one with release binaries dont. I compared my pkg files and checked the differences. Seems that the problem is not my application exe. Seems that when I changed my keyanim.dlls (client and server) to my urel pkg to udeb version the app installs (and runs) again.

So now I have udeb versions in urel sisx, not good. So what is this mysterious 2148532241?

    Br,
    sami

Itomuta: Error is seen on PC end (Ovi suite in my case). Hmm, could that be reason for this? Should I downgrade to older pcsuite and use app installers from there. Well not a good sollution either, if that is the case.

That is actually a number :-)
However on Windows, people are more familiar with hexadecimal representation of numbers when talking about error codes: it is 0x80100011, a search with Google provides some hints. Fixing it is an other story though.
