    Post N70 MUSIC EDITION

I am a Nokia N70 ME user, a problem with it is it keeps on hanging regularly now. The RAM of this N70 ME is 53MB but most of the time it shows as 20-30MB free(it can be checked using TASKMAN application), In-spite of free RAM also it keeps on hanging. Generally it does not work faster at all, every application installed in N70 ME is slow, gallery Messages everything is slow. But when we use fexplorer or file explorer the RAM capacity is shown as 1.78mb, i don't know actually what happens to the free RAM.
I had purchased it in September 2008.

The main question i wanted to ask is:-

1> IS N70 ME definitely having 53MB RAM?
2> IF so why it is working slowly as compared to N73 ME which has only 44MB RAM?
3> What actually happens to the free RAM when we use fexplorer or file explorer, it just show 1.78mb RAM capacity?
4> IS there any other way to make it work faster without hanging?

    Looking for a reply,
    Thank You

    Hello skpesce,

you could perform a factory reset to see if that improves the memory status. The factory reset can be done by inserting *#7370# on Idle Standby i.e. phone call screen (NOTE: Factory reset will set the device back on it's original settings i.e. erases device's contact lists, all installed applications etc.)

No, you cannot change the operating system and generally speaking there's nothing you, as an user, can do about phone's memory consumption levels, except for making sure you use good applications which do not leak memory.

Please see the link in Jukka's post for a more suitable forum for discussion your problems.
