    Get IMEI from nokia 2630

    Hello everyone.

    I'm trying to get de IMEI code from nokia 2630, but I can't get it. My app is signed, but the return of the follow commands is null;

    String imei1 = System.getProperty("com.nokia.mid.imei");
    String imei2 = System.getProperty("phone.imei");
    String imei3 = System.getProperty("com.nokia.IMEI");
    String imei4 = System.getProperty("com.nokia.imei");

    I read that in s40 edition can only get this code on versions at or after 3rd edition, and nokia 2630 have the 5th edition.

    Can you help me?

    Regards,

    Fred

    Hi Fred,

    If IMEI retrieval is supported in that phone, then should be retrieved by
    System.getProperty("com.nokia.mid.imei").

    If not then the phone is not supporting it.

    For more details please have a look at this link

    It is possible, but only if your application is signed by Nokia or by the network operator. Unless you are working for Nokia or an operator, this isn't going to happen.

    No. You application must be signed by Nokia, or by your network operator, not by you. If you sign it, it won't work.

    Before you ask, there is no process by which you can get Nokia to sign it.

    In practice, you cannot get the IMEI number on Series 40s.

    Cheers,
    Graham.

    Re: Get IMEI from nokia 2630

    That's the same link wang_shui posted.

    The key phrase is:

    On Series 40 phones this requires that your MIDlet is signed to either operator or manufacturer domain
    Since the 2630 is a Series 40, this rule would seem to apply.

    jitu_goldie: have you been able to get the IMEI number on Series 40 devices?

    if your device runs on Java Runtime 1.0.0 or newer for Series 40, you can still use System.getProperty("com.nokia.mid.imei");
