Thumbs down How to make J2ME Application UI attractive??

    Hi All,

The Application was made using Netbeans IDE. It just dont look attractive as it should be because i want to launch in OVI store. All the controls i placed in application screen not looking attractive.

can some one give me any links or brief idea on how to make it attractive.
J2ME Polish been already applied to application. But application is targeted for 5th edition phones so polish does not allow touch events when tested on real phone instead it provides Media player control to move left, right, up, down and select.

Are you using the Form or the canvas for this app currently?

So, you can test the app on the real device.
Please note that the look and feel is not everything to get the app most famous, think about the functionality of the app, implement it with the the unique ideas.
    Thanks with Regards,

If you use standard controls and J2ME form the application's look & feel would be avrage certainly. To make it more attractive either design your own custom components or use the LWUIT (by Sun) lib. LWUIT will be more convenient and easy to use rather than developing your own controls. It also gives a lot flexibility to have look & feel of your choice. The only concern would be - it works with MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1

You can use Canvas and draw everything yourself, create custom text boxes, drop down menus, scrolls, etc. It can be alot of work, but you can reuse them and make them suite your desires.
