I cannot create a sis file

    Hello,

I have been trying for a month to create a package (sis file) for my flash lite application. I tried Adobe Mobile Packager,KuneriLite, siscontents, and finally Carbide.c++ v2.3. Adobe Mobile Packager and siscontents create a sis file that does not work on mobiles. KuneriLite gives me an error message says "Process failed", and Carbide.c++ v2.3 gives an error message which I cannot understand. Although I read a lot of articles here and over the internet about creating sis files, I still cannot create one. I will appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

    hi,

Try Helisso (http://www.flashmobileblog.com/2010/...mbian-devices/). It needs absolutlely no setup other than the Adobe AIR updated version (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air2.html) which it will guide you through while installation.

Incase you have a Symbian Signed provided UID and the Publisher ID and its password, enter the UID as "0x2*******" and select the Publisher certificate (.p12 pr .pfx file) and enter the password where required on the small prompt window that appears after you check the "Symbian Signing" option. Then select the SWF and the icon in tiny svg (refer http://bloggy.kuneri.net/2009/11/26/...nstead-of-svg/). You then need to delete the signature from the generated SISX and sign it with you own DevCert. Incase you do not have one, refer https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/ba...uestupload.jsp (you will be able to use this link only after you have registered with SymbianSigned and logged in. For creating a DevCert from the Publisher ID, refer https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/ba...uestupload.jsp.

If you have neither of the UID or the Publisher ID as mentioned above, simply select the SWF and the icon without checking the "Symbian Signing" option. The SISX generated is signed by Ensemble and can be directly installed on the phone.

All the above information are gathered from various forums, you can refer http://thethoughtprogresses.blogspot...plication.html for complete details.

    Hi,

You might want to get SWF2Go. We just released it's latest version, 2.5 which now supports latest S60 5th Edition devices as well with more memory for FL games and applications.

Try a couple of sample SIS files (~8mb) http://www.swf2go.com/downloads/FL-Mem-Test.zip

Please note it's a commercial product. We don't have a trial version yet, but if you like we can make a demo SIS for your FL application.

    Hope it helps,

Re: I cannot create a sis file

This is very odd, the srcfile should refer to your Main SWF that you select in the UI.

    1. Are you packaging a swf?
    2. What's the path to the file?
    3. Where are you seeing this error?

    thanks,
    Mark

Re: I cannot create a sis file

Helisso works fine now, but it creates flash lite version 3, and my application is version 2. It needs to update the device. Is there any version that creates flash lite 2 package?

Re: I cannot create a sis file

    Hi Mark,

I also see this error while nothing has changed in the system setup and also the paths of the swf. The error occurs as a prompt when I click 'create'. I have tried restarting the system and also reopened the packager.

    Please help.
