How to read data from webpage and insert in widget

    Hi all,

I am planning to design a bandwidth usage meter for s60v5 devices through WRT.

There is an existing web based method which allows you to check your internet bandwidth usage and now I want to create an app for it.

What I want to know is if it is possible that once a user has logged in to view their data, how can I "embed" a few numbers (e.g. current month's data usage) onto my widget?

For example, the web based version will display it as let's say 5GB (of a possible 40GB) and now I want my widget to copy that value (5GB or whatever amount is displayed) but how would I go round doing that?

    Hi aziz_miah,

you can retrieve the data from your web server by using standard XMLHttpRequest calls (http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...equest_Example), and then update your widget content with this retrieved data (e.g.: by using the innerHTML property of a node in your widget's HTML).
