    Smile Does my application consume battery

    Hello All,

    I wrote an application for getting my location using Location API.

    Does the application consume too much of my battery?

    What if I keep on running the application?

    using specific chips inside your device will deplete your battery faster...
    When using the GPS chip your battery will get empty faster than when you are not using the GPS chip...
    The same is valid for Wi-fi, BlueTooth, Audio Streaming etc...

    For a "physical" example you could just run your Location based application for a long time (several hours) and you will notice your device will become warmer (sometimes even somewhat hot) than when your application is not running...
