    Adding buttons on a form

    Hello,
    what if I want to add buttons on a Form in J2ME. for example i want there clear button on a form, when press its set the value of a particular record in RMS as zero(0).

    Add the command on the form.In the commandAction() you handle the command and when user press the same you delete the text from the form and update the RMS at the same time.

    a button is a Command object in j2me... Well, as far as high level gui elements goes that is...
    You can find loads regarding Commands in J2ME using the Wiki or any internet search engine...

    Hello,
    There is no inbuilt concept of the Button in J2ME.As Tiger suggested the Commands are the alternative for the buttons in this technology.

    Why, if you can do it with the inbuilt API and its very much easy then why you are looking for the buttons. Well if you wanna button only then you have to use the Low Level API and here you can draw your own custom buttons and you have to implement the event handling for the same.

    In J2me you cant have buttons on the forms like HTML, but you can try with command action - softkeys.

    For using Buttons, try working with LWUIT. See its demo and give it a try.
