    Nokia 6301b

    The following code sets the two boolean values to false - it seems my phone cannot vibrate or have a flashing screen.
    I somewhat believe the code, but i have doubts because although setting the ringer profile to vibrate does not cause the phone to vibrate, it does cause the screen backlight to flash on and off while an incoming call comes through. Why am I unable to replicate the flashing screen with the flashBacklight method from the javax.microedition.lcdui.* namespace? Something tells me there is something wrong with the code.
    Nokia 6301b / s40 / v05.88 firmware.

    Code:
    bool hasVibe = true;
    bool hasFlash = true;

    hasVibe = Display.getdisplay(this).vibrate(5000);
    hasFlash = Display.getdisplay(this).flashBacklight(5000);

    if (!hasVibe) {
     form.append("No vibrate support");
    }

    if (!hasFlash) {
     form.append("No flashing screen support");
    }
    Your help is appreciated.

    If you feel that that MIDP display.Vibrate() and display.flashbacklight() doesn't work, they the methods available in Nokia UI API, which supported on this device.

    com.nokia.mid.sound Provides an API for simple audio capabilities
    com.nokia.mid.ui Contains some graphics-related extensions for MIDP low-level UI APIs, such as Graphics and Canvas.
