launch a widget from the browser

    Hi,

Is there a mechanism that a widget can register a URI scheme so it can be launched from the browser.

I need the option to launch my widget as if it were a URL with parameters, something like:

    widget://mywidget/?name="abc"&value="123"

    or

    mywidget://?name="abc"&value="123"

    any ideas?

    thanks

    Moshe

    Hi Moshe,

welcome to Forum Nokia Discussion Boards!

Unfortunately such a feature is not available in the current WRT runtime.

    Hi Pit,

    Thank you,

just to make sure, is there any other way to invoke a widget with parameters ? for example if i wrote a wrapper application using c++ and that wrapper would invoke the widget ?

    thanks

By using a C++ wrapper, you would surely have more options, but I'm not able to say if you would also be able to pass parameters to the widget.. Here a Symbian C++ expert would definitely help
