Visible Flash Player controls before swf startup

    Hi,

we are having problems with our swf, packaged with Carbide.

At application startup, controls for Flash Player (pause, zoom etc) are visible for a second before application goes to full screen. The problem is these can be easily clicked on, which leads to unwanted application behavior.

Is there a way to prevent flash player from showing these controls?

This was observed on 5530XM and X6, probably is the same with others as well.

    Thank you

    Hello,

This is the default behaviour of Flash Lite. Either you try using Flash Lite via embeding or using stub, it's same, and cannot be avoided.

The only workaroung we found was to create a 2 second full screen splash window on top via C++ loading static BMP. So user only sees the splash screen, in the meantime, Flash Lite application is initialized in fullscreen.

    Hope it helps,

    Hi,

I have tried with splashscreen, but when Flash Stub application is initialized, controls are focused on top of splashscreen. How to force Flash application to stay in background of splashscreen? I have tried with RunInBackground property and no luck.

    Regards,
    Simon

    Ciao,

I do not have that problem on my N97 Mini.
I use the standard launcher application which pass the swf file directly to the FL player for playback.

    Hi,

How you are making the splashscreen window?

    Try this http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...=splash+screen

I have my own implementation, but it's inside NDA. I try to sneak out some part of it. Meanwhile try with the above link.

Let me know if it works for you.

    Best,

Re: Visible Flash Player controls before swf startup

    Hi,

I am just showing CCoeControl for some seconds in another application which draw image in Draw() method. When the Flash Stub application initializes SWF, controls are focused on top of Splash Screen image.

Are you showing the splash screen in same application that opens embedded flash and how, because there is no CAknView to control.

    Thanks,
    Simon
