    installing QT Mobility

    Hi, I get qtcreator+ symbian package+ windows xp currently working. I tried to instal mobility API
    and I tried to follow those succint instructions but the pack is not working :_(
    After I execute "configure" (they missed to advice 'use the symbian command promp window'))I get 'lib' folder, but it is empty (Is it ok?). I added the path to environmental vars. After installing 'make' (not in the pack) from GNU it gives me some errors (no se ha encontrado el archivo por lotes: somthing like batch file not found... several times).
    Finally, when compiling qt examples i get "collect2: Id returned 1 exit status"
    Anybody can you help??

    Thanks

    Which command prompt window did you use? You should be using the one under Start ->Qt for Symbian by Nokia 4.6.2.

    The best (though incomplete) setup instructions I've found are here: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...t_Mobility_API

    It misses several points about setting up your PRO files, etc, though.

    Those instructions are much better. Thanks!
    I am moving to the brand new version of the qt sdk beta which includes mobility.
    I am close to reach the success despite the lack of a dummy's manual and mobility examples. Of course the examples from the previous mobilty pack do not work

    Re: installing QT Mobility

    You could get the newest Qt for Symbian download bundle... where the mobility API is already included. After installation you just need to start a new qt mobility project.

    Ok, i"ve installed "Nokia_Qt_SDK_Win_offline_v1_0_en_copy.exe" then i started a mobile project, in that code when i try to access "QGeoPositionInfoSource" it's showing error..here is the code...
    "mainwindow.cpp":-
    #include "mainwindow.h"
    #include "ui_mainwindow.h"
    //#include <QGeoPositionInfoSource>
    #ifdef Q_OS_SYMBIAN
    #include <qsysteminfo.h>
    #include<qgeopositioninfosource.h>
    #else
    #include <QSystemInfo> //(1)
    #include<QGeoPositionInfoSource>
    #endif
    using namespace QtMobility; //(2)

    MainWindow::MainWindow(QWidget *parent) :
    QMainWindow(parent),
    ui(new Ui::MainWindow)
    {
    ui->setupUi(this);
    QGeoPositionInfoSource *source= QGeoPositionInfoSource::createDefaultSource();
    QSystemInfo s;
    ui->label->setText(s.currentCountryCode());
    }

    MainWindow::~MainWindow()
    {
    delete ui;
    }

    build issue:
    No matching function for call to 'QtMobility::QGeoPositionInfoSource::createDefaultSource()'

    Re: installing QT Mobility

    Hi,

    As i told you earlier that Nokia Qt SDK come with all the thing require for developement no need to install the mobility separately. I had test some of the example in my N900 and it works fine.

    You can check to if the example are working for Qt simulator or not?

    Re: installing QT Mobility

    You installed with offline installer so it could be that it came with QtMobility 1.0.1 and there were some issues with location api on that version. Run updater and check if there are any updates for QtMobility available.
