AFAIK you will need to use RMS or JSR-75 FCA based flat filesystem for your midlet based storage needs on J2me based devices like S40.

Re: Need help about the Mobile database.

By using JSR-75 FCA API's you can store your data/content in files on the filesystem of the device not as database.
If you want to use flatfiles as your database, you need to implement your own database engine, which can take SQL query and return you records from your actual flatfiles stored on device filesystem.

You can also check, some 3rd party j2me db solutions like - http://www.mcobject.com/j2me_database

You can save the data in the File system of the device in order to fulfill the bold, italic and red lines.Just use the File Connection API for this, Have a look over this http://developers.sun.com/mobility/a...ileconnection/
    Thanks with Regards,
