    Simulator and Open C/C++

    Hello,

    I am trying to compile a simple application that uses normal open C socket functions. The thing compiles fine for Symbian device but fails for the Qt simulator thingy.

    What's the status of Open C/C++ std apis and stl stuff regarding the simulator?

    Hi,

    the Qt Simulator is designed for creating Qt applications without any platform specific parts. However, as it uses as desktop compiler for building applications this will add some of the standard functionality. I am not sure how much the difference to the OpenC implementation then is. Are you using the MinGW or Visual Studio version for the Simulator Qt version? You can check this in the build output if it uses nmake of mingw32-make.
