    Uninstall Opera on 2730 classic

    Hi,

It appears that a firmware update brought opera as the default browser. It is a serious issue, because the user agent does not allow to make the difference between phone models, and because jad files are not interpreted. (therefore, we cannot install signed applications).

How can I remove it, downgrade the firmware, or have the old browser the default one again (it seems that it is still present)?

    Thanks in advance

Which sw version did you install?

What happens when you try run an application via JAD?

Re: Uninstall Opera on 2730 classic

    Thanks for your reply.

The firmware version is (as given by the *#0000# command): V09.41 02-12-09 RM578
When opening a JAD file with the opera browser (which happens, for example when following a link sent by SMS), the JAD file is displayed as text. Moreover, the user agent given by opera does not permit to recognize the device.
When opening a JAD file send by bluetooth, it works, however it is not a solution when can use.

However, we just found out a solution to the problem: it appears that when following a link received by SMS Wap Push (service message), the Nokia browser is used, therefore, we simply need to send Push SMS instead of regular ones.

    Thanks for your help.
