error during build, after adding avetana library to j2me app

    Hello,

I'm developing a MIDlet in Eclipse using Avetana library. When I want to create a J2ME package, I get the following error:
    Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder 'Preverification' on project 'OBEXclient_avetana'.
    org.eclipse.jdt.internal.core.JavaModel.getTarget(Lorg/eclipse/core/resources/IContainer;Lorg/eclipse/core/runtime/IPath;Z)Ljava/lang/Object;

I followed the manual at http://eclipseme.org/docs/advJarFiles.html (for Application JAR Files).

Can you please give me some advice?

    Pedro

    Hi Pedro...

I do not have solution for your problem. But I do not think the external library is a problem.

If I had faced a similar problem I would have tried doing this:
*)Create a new HelloWorld Midlet and run successfully.
*)Then import library, again run successfully.
*)Now start adding the code for actual application which uses that library.

Hope my silly tip helps. :-)

Hi Roopesh and thank you for the reply. Your tip didn't help me, though thanks for trying.

I realised that the same error message pops up for any external library I try to add to "Order and Export" (setting in Eclipse to include the library to the created jar).

I haven't figure out what the problem is, but I no longer need it.
So if anyone bumpes up into this thread and knows the answer to this problem, I'll be happy to hear it.

    Hello Pedro,

which Eclipse version are you using?

For the latest Eclipse version (Galileo), you could check the related developer documentation available by Eclipse:

Java ME Development User Guide > Reference > Advanced Topics > Advanced - Adding JAR Files to a MIDlet Suite

    Hi r2j7,

yes, I'm using the latest Eclipse version.
Link to the documentation you posted is the same I have posted in the first message in this thread (different link, but same content). I went step by step by it, but it crashes on the last step - adding jar file to the "Order and Export". When I check that checkbox, the error pops up during the next package creation.

    Thanks for the reply though!

    Pedro
