Don't use Symbian code with Qt or at least don't post Symbian related questions in Qt forum.

In Qt normally QSettings are used for persistent data between application launches

    Hi,

Are you developing new application? If yes then please use Qt (in this case QSettings see the Qt pages for more).
If you are developing Symbian application then see in our wiki, we have settings example that saves data for application.
On the other hand you can save your settings from your application to a file and read it during construction time again and so on ..
