Qt SDK/Version path problems with Nokia Qt SDK beta on Windows 7

I've been trying to get the new Qt SDK beta working for a while now on Windows 7 32bit. The package installs fine and the QtCreator starts fine.

However the QtCreator is unable to use any of the installed Qt SDKs/Versions (Qt For Symbian Devices / Simulator Qt For Visual Studio / Simulator for MinGW).
In Options->Qt4 I see that it does find the correct qmake locations, but that's it. In tooltip of SDK/Version all of the paths are wrong except the qmake path:
    • For 'Qt for Symbian Devices (Qt SDK beta)' it makes up a Path 'c:/qt/4.6.2' and all paths are prefixed with that.
    • For the 'Simulator Qt for Visual Studio 2008 (Qt SDK beta)' the Paths is 'c:/ndk_builddirectory/qt/4.6/simulator_msvc2008'.

Right path for the first would be C:\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian\SDK, I guess. But how to change it?

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I have tried to reinstall the sdk. I've been trying to remove everything qt/symbian/nokia related from registry and file system but no luck. Altering or deleting configuration files (qtcreator.ini, qtcreator.db and the qtcreator subdirectory) won't do nothing; those are always reverted.

Do you have a Qt [for Symbian] 4.6.2 SDK installed at c:\qt\4.6.2 ? Had it some time ago?
It seems that Qt Creator does pick-up old settings from ... wherever they are stored ... and prefers those to the newly installed SDK defaults.

There should be a bug report about this already, but if you don't find it at http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com you should create a new one.

Reinstalling would not work, not would it help to edit config files while Qt Creator is still running. In fact, don't files at all, use Creator's UI to change the settings and let it save that new state as it knows to be appropriate.

That's what I was thinking first about. But I dont't remember installing Qt ever in that location, and for sure I have never installed anything in 'c:/ndk_builddirectory'. I was thinking if these could be paths used by SDK developers or such and somehow it's now picking those from somewhere..

Not only did I search there but I was going to create a new one. Problem is that I've no idea if this is a SDK, Creator or Installer bug?

I could not find a way to change these from UI. Only editable fields in Options->Qt4->Qt Versions are Version name and qmake Location. Which in fact are the only proper values there..

After reading http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTSDK-13 I think this is an installer bug and posted a new bug report: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTSDK-36.

But still I wonder if there is a way to change these paths manually, so I could get started?

Just to comment, there has been added an attachment to http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTSDK-36 where it will post-patch the library paths. In addition this will be resolved with a newer installer, as soon as we have a new binary out.
