    how to reduce the size of JAR file

    Hi,

    How can I reduce the size of JAR files ,, I tried to use progruard in J2me Polish but I failed ,, any one can help me plllz ???

    Try to reduce the size of image resources using some PNG optimizers which you can get from internet.
    Try Kjar or yGuard (http://www.yworks.com/en/products_yguard_about.html)

    Of course it is good to reduce image size.
    Never the less, obfuscators like Proguard are also important to reduce file size. Especially if you use big libraries, because they also can remove unused methods and classes.
    Try to get diagnostics (for example from the command line), and try to find out what exactly fails. Because when you just say "it fails", nobody can help you.
