    Unhappy Is there any way to add custom menu items into the browser option?

    Hi there,

    I met a problem. I want to add some custom menu items into the s60 browser option, but failed to find a solution. Is there any way to implement it?

    Thanks for your reply.

    I'm not aware of any solution, and usually you can not add own commands to the applciation menu.

    Thanks symbianyucca.
    I didn't find any very useful for this problem. For normal apps it is hard to add/modify option menus. But seems we can get there by browser plugin?? Or js?

    I see no ways on doing it from Js, nor browser plug-ins either.

    what is the usage of

    MOptionMenuHandler::AddPluginOptionMenuItemsL (CEikMenuPane &aMenuPane, TInt aCommandBase, TInt aAfter)
    and
    CBrctlInterface::AddOptionMenuItemsL??

    And the later one seems no use in brctlsampleapp example of nokia.

    Code:
    CBrCtlSampleAppContainer::DynInitMenuPaneL(TInt aResourceId, CEikMenuPane* aMenuPane)
        {
        if (iBrCtlInterface && aResourceId == R_BRCTLSAMPLEAPP_MENU )
            {
            iBrCtlInterface->AddOptionMenuItemsL(*aMenuPane, aResourceId); //What is the effect of this?
         RPointerArray<TBrCtlWmlServiceOption>* options;
            options = iBrCtlInterface->WMLOptionMenuItemsL();
            TInt i;
            TInt count = options->Count();
            for (i = 0; i < count; i++)
                {
                TBrCtlWmlServiceOption* option = (*options);
                if (option != NULL)
                    {
                    CEikMenuPaneItem::SData item;
                    item.iText.Copy(option->Text());
                    item.iCommandId = option->ElemID();
                    item.iFlags = 0;
                    item.iCascadeId = 0;
                    aMenuPane->InsertMenuItemL(item, 0);
                    }
                }
            }
        }

    Check the codes out and see if they work. Anyway I never seen MOptionMenuHandler in works. And if the example for CBrctlInterface has that stuff then I assume you can have the browser control in your own applicatio n and have the menu handled within your own applciation, not actually in browser.
