    Error while installation

Tried to install both full 800M file and online installator, and got the error at the same point:
    vcredist_x86
if press Retry, the same error appears,
if press Ignore, Extracting files from vcredist_x87 window appears with progress bar at 0 forever.

Is there any way to resolve the issue?

PS. In detailes window, last records are:

    C:\j2me\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian\gcce
    C:\j2me\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian
    C:\j2me\NokiaQtSDK\Documentation
    C:\j2me\NokiaQtSDK\Documentation\qt.qch

    Re: Error while installation

Hi, I found the solution for this problem.

After installation cancelling, the file vcredist_x86.exe remains in the folder.
I just ran it (it's some Microsoft soft) in repare mode. Then run the Qt setup again and it jumps over the step.

    Re: Error while installation

I had the same problem today using the Online (13MB) installer. The installer I downloaded 2 weeks ago and it worked on a Windows XP machine. Today I tried to install on a new Windows 7 Pro machine.

During the installation, the installer stopped on vcredist_x86.exe and after selecting Retry, Windows prompted me to authenticate access for this file. After this, the installation continued but had problems accessing C:\NokiaQtSDK\Symbian and C:\NokiaQtSDK\Maemo folders. If I recall correct, it tried to run qmake in these folders. After a couple of retries I noted that these folders does not exist yet. Maybe I should have run the installation with "Run as administrator".

After the installation, Qt Creator didn't want to start and I reinstalled for a second time.

During the second installation, I had the same problems.

After the second installation, the Qt Creator started and everything seamed fine. But the following problems I've picked up:
On the Getting Started screen, the examples seems to be not installed and are not accessible. Using the "Open File or Project", I could access the examples in the 4.6 and 4.7 folders.
The only build platform version available is "Qt in PATH" but Symbian and Maemo is not available.

What would be the correct steps to rectify this without reinstalling the complete installation? Internet access and speed from South Africa is very slow.
