    Right-to-left languages with LWUIT

    Hey guys,

I'm developing a J2ME application that uses LWUIT.
The language the MIDLet is using is Hebrew (right-to-left direction).
How can I align everything to be right-to-left?
When I create a Bitmap font with hebrew character and try to write the word "Hello" (in Hebrew letters of course) in a TextArea, it shows up as "olleH".
    How can this be solved?

    Thanks,
    Aviv

    Hello Aviv,

The version 1.3 allows using LWUIT with Right To Left languages such as Arabic, Hebrew - and I assume that is the version you are using?

So, could you explain in more detail what it is the actual issue in your case?...like you want to align everything right-to-left, so the support for characters are there. Now that you say you are using bitmap fonts and attempt to write word "Hello" on a TextArea, then if it shows up as "olleH", then is not that from right to left...? And you mentioned this is what you want to be solved? Please could you elaborate, what would be the correct way it should be for you and what do you specificly mean with you want "everything" to be right-to-left?

Just trying to catch your drift, that's all.

Use System fonts - If the devices supports locale like Hebrew and Arabic - they work RTL with LWUIT in TextArea. I have seen it work well on Pelephone Nokia 6500 Slider from Israel.
    Thanks,
