I am porting a Windows console application to Symbian. I use Carbide 2.3 and S60 5th edition SDK v1.0 emulator.
I have the application built. It runs and writes the right things on the emulator console. It also correctly creates a file, which i can see in C:\private\e677fec6 if I run eshell.
I also need it to read from a file, but I don't understand how to put it in the emulator environment. It's a simple text file. I thought that I could simply copy it to the same directory, but I couldn't find how to do it.
If I do File->Open in the emulator, it opens the text file as a note in the Notes application; I can see it through the Notes application, but I can't find the file itself in the file system.
I also thought about putting the file in the installation package (SIS, if I understand correctly), so it will be copied to the emulator with the built application, but I couldn't find how to do that either.
Thanks in advance.
