Check if the application is using PushRegistry and some SMSlistners.
Try to restart the device and check what happens ?

    thanks,

    Re: Conflicting application error

    Hello, rahulkrishna!

I could test this myself. Could you send me that application via e-mail, or maybe provide a link to get it? Did you purchase it? In that case please do not send it but only inform me what the application is.

    Just checking...

Have you updated the firmware on it to the latest? If not, you can do it using the Nokia Software Updater,
you can download it from here: http://europe.nokia.com/support/down...oftware-update

I suggest you could remove that application once more and install it again.

After these steps, please could you inform me back if you still get the same error?

As I do not know what the application is, and what it should do I cannot easily remove the possibility the
app itself is doing something to cause this.

Also, could you verify this is the exact error message, written as is, what you got "Conflict application error"?

    Thanks!

    Best Regards,
    Hi,

I am using the simply wma demo application. for sending and receiving the sms on a particular port.
For the first time when I downloaded the application and launch it, its work fine. But when I closed the application forcefully and then re-launch the application then its shows me "Conflict application error".

I removed the applicaton from the device and again downloaded it and launched the application but still it showing me the same "Conflict application error".

Do you have some idea why it is happening. I am using nokia 2700 device.

    Thanks
    Rahul

    Re: Conflicting application error

    Hello rahulkrishna,

does it help to remove the application if you perform a factory reset? This can be done by entering *#7370# on phone call screen.

Based on your description this sounds like Push registry related as defined by im2amit, more about using static and dynamic push registry available in Forum Nokia Java Developer's library:

    Java Developer's Library 3.5 > Developer's Guides > Application framework > Push applications

I am using the simply wma demo application
If this is the WMADemo available in Wireless Toolkit by Sun then it's JAD includes Push registration for certain ports.
