    Bluetooth Connectivity

    I have a BT device and the only thing I want my handset to do is to check if it is on or not. My device is set so as not to broadcast it's address. However, it does respond to a query on its address.

    I have used the BT Example a lot. I have tried to DiscoverServices and DiscoverDevices. No matter what I do, DiscoverDevices seeks all devices in the vicinity.

    In phone-debug, DiscoverServices appears to see the device but then flicks between seeing it and not seeing it.

    Any insight would be helpful.

    Re: Bluetooth Connectivity

    I have changed my settings as follows to only query on address with a view to getting host name back.
    Bizarrely I now get "Memory Full" message on the device when I do this.

    //iAddr.SetAction(KHostResInquiry|KHostResName|KHostResIgnoreCache);

    iAddr.SetAction(KHostResName);

    that sounds Bizarr really, socket stuff should not really take too much memory, so are you doing something else that could reserve loads of memory there.
