SIP registration on 3G and battery usage.

I noticed that SIP client (N95) use very little battery when provider -pbxes in my case- rigistered with WiFi on port 36999:TCP but the same is using a lot of power when on 3g. For example on my standby test it lasted around 6 hours without any calls.
Sip providers other than pbxes will last even less on both wifi as well as 3G.
I wonder if any one has any tweeking advice? Let me put it this way. Even on standby with 3g connection, the power charger can not fully chrage. It drains more power than charger can push.
Any chance of tweeking sip setting tool?
