Question What data storage class to use

    Hi,

I have only dabbled with midlets, so am pretty green. I am writing a simple data collection app for my phone and want to store the data on the phone. I am not sure if I should be using rms, datasets, or files? It is just an app to collect temperature measurements (keyed in by the user) and record the time when the temperature was measured.

I see netbeans has databinding with forms, string items, etc... so it looks like the way to go?

I have found the "high score sample code" on this site for rms, but nothing equivalent for datasets.

Any suggestions (and of course code samples) would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kim

You can use the RMS in order to save the collected data on the device.
Are there any issue you might be facing related to the RMS?
What are the other problems if any?
    Thanks with Regards,

I have no problem with RMS (yet), but saw the datasets, indexabledataset icons in netbeans and thought the rms approach might be obsoleted by a new "dataset" approach.

    Thanks,

in netbeans, the "screen view" when adding forms, lists and commands to a midlet, in the top of the pallette there are some icons in the databinding section
