    Question Nokia N93 barcode reader

Hello everybody. We're planning a JavaME application that should be barcode read enabled. We've tested Accusoft Barcode Xpress library and works very fine, but or client has realized that Nokia N93 has an embedded qr and datamatrix code reader and he wants to avoid accusoft license cost. We guess that N93 reader is Symbian and there is no direct way to use the scanned codes, so that integration would be impossible.

Has any one dealed with this before?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

to avoid accusoft license cost - try to search some open source/ free to use - Barcode reader library on google like ZXing.

    thanks,

Hi Etka. Thanks for your answer. We've tested ZXing, but Accusoft beats it. I'd like to know if it's possible to integrate presinstalled code reader on N93 with a Java ME application.

    Cheers.

AFAIK, we cant do the needful on N93 using J2me. Still try to check and get more info on it from Symbian forums.

    thanks,
