    AOP - AspectJ for J2ME

    Hi everyone,

has anyone used AOP (aspect oriented programming) in a J2ME application? A amous AOP project is AspectJ and it should work as you can see here: http://www.eclipse.org/aspectj/doc/r...aspectjandj2me

But they do not tell how to setup the build process and so on, so I would like to know, if anyone already has experiences using AOP in J2ME applications.

Btw. it seems to be a nice workaround because of the lack of reflection ;-)

    Kind regards

Never used AspectJ, nor heard of anyone using it with mobile Java. Some people do use some AOP-like techniques to solve porting problems with mobile Java. For example, GUMP. Not for the feint-hearted.

I've found two interesting documents so far:
Using AspectJ to build a software product line for mobile devices
An Aspect-Oriented Architecture for Handling Variation across Mobile Platforms

Both are interesting... but I'd like to talk to people having some experiences ;-)

    Kind regards
