Copy armel Debian package to the device and try to open it from File Manager.

Then install it from XTerminal with commands:
    Code:
    sudo gainroot
    dpkg -i /home/user/PATH_TO_PAKAGE/PACKAGE.deb
Note that capital letters in package name are not allowed.

Re: How to create an installation file for my maemo application in Ubuntu

    Hi Daniil,

I tried to install libqtm-location.install file, in the provided by you (http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...antle/install/)
But its failed to install. By the log file i came to know that internally its fetching wrong file path i.e, http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...armel/Packages

    Here are my catalog settings
    Name: Extras-devel
    Web Address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
    Distribution: fremantle
    Components: free non-free

Could you let me know where I'm wrong, if you have understanding on this.

    Regards
    Rajini

Qt Mobility is not in extras-devel repository any more and it's good idea to add dist name to the install file as application manager uses "fremantle1.2" by default, which is not correct for extras-devel

Re: How to create an installation file for my maemo application in Ubuntu

In the catalog if i keep
distribution "fremantle" or "fremantle-1.2", it will be locating the below path only
    http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d.../binary-armel/

    its not locating "http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/dists/fremantle/non-free/binary-armel/"

    And where is dist?
    Code:

    dist = fremantle

But as I've said libqtm-location is not in extras-devel any more.
