    Hi,
    Mobility packages are now official Nokia packages and they are in the "Nokia Applications" catalogue.
    They won't be uploaded to extras-devel anymore.

    id of that repository is nokia-certified, other two are nokia-system and ovi.
    However, none of them succeed.
    Code:
    [install]
    catalogues = nokia-system
    package   = libqtm-location
    Code:
    [install]
    catalogues = nokia-certified
    package   = libqtm-location
    Code:
    [install]
    catalogues = ovi
    package   = libqtm-location

    So is it safe to say there is absolutely no way to install qtmobility-location?

    The only way is to be root in X_Terminal?

    No, it's not safe. I think if you install application, which has libqtm-location as a dependency, it will fetch the library automatically.

    Unfortunately no, it doesnt download automatically. I have my application as a deb with the correct dependencies in the debian/control file but if I wish to install the application through filemanager, I am told it's not installable because libqtm-location is not installed.

    I was talking about installing application from repository using .install file, not from .deb file. Did you consider uploading your application to extras-devel?

    Hey Divanov

    I have considered it many times, but I'm not happy about the source code being made public. Could I, in theory create my own repo using one of my servers and create an install file linking to that? If so, would the automatic dependencies still be installed?

    thx

    APT will manage the dependencies for every package in its database. So doesn't not matter from where the package come.
    Creating a your repository is easy. You just need to put the packages in the right directories and run dpkg-scanpackages to create the packages index that will be retrieved by "apt-get update".
    More info about this at http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/re...pository-howto.

    Anyway If you want to make your application more visible I suggest you to publish it on OVI or extras.
