A client for providing handover istant of time

    Hi everybody!

I hope I'm writing in the right subsection. If I'm not, I pray the moderators to move this message in the right one.

I have to create a symbian C++ client that have to provide the expected instant of time at wich the phone will make an handover from the serving cell to another neighbor umts cell. To make this quest, the client needs to know many parameters that the phone calculated during the cell reselection process. I ask you if is it possible to extract these parameters from the phone and use them for my client.

    - Do you know if there is already something similar?
    - Wich kind of Symbian C++ APIs will I need?

(to see wich parameters I need, see 3GPP TS 25.304 specification).

    Thank you very much!

Not sure but private api's might be available.

Also if you could read the specification and list down the parameters required, it would save lot of time for others and you might get more replies.

Hi! Thank you for your answer.
Where I can find these private APIs?
I post here some useful parameters that I search for:

Squal Cell Selection quality value (dB)
Srxlev Cell Selection RX level value (dB)
Qqualmeas Measured cell quality value. The quality of the received signal expressed in CPICH Ec/N0 (dB) for FDD cells.
Qrxlevmeas Measured cell RX level value. This is received signal, CPICH RSCP for FDD cells (dBm)
Qqualmin Minimum required quality level in the cell (dB). Applicable only for FDD cells.
Qrxlevmin Minimum required RX level in the cell (dBm)
    Pcompensation max(UE_TXPWR_MAX_RACH – P_MAX, 0) (dB)
UE_TXPWR_MAX_RACH Maximum TX power level an UE may use when accessing the cell on RACH (read in system information) (dBm)
P_MAX Maximum RF output power of the UE (dBm)
    Qhyst2sQoffset1s,n
    Qoffset2s,n
    Qhyst1s
    HCS_PRIOs, HCS_PRIOn
    Qoffmbms
    PENALTY_TIMEn
    TEMPORARY_OFFSET1n
    TEMPORARY_OFFSET2n
    Treselections
    Sintrasearch
    Sintersearch

    Thanks!

you can look in symbian.org but not sure if you can reuse even if you find them.
