    Nasir,

    Place all your resources in res folder of you application and access in the app using getClass().getResourceAsStream("/video.3gp");
    create a vector and display a list retrieving from vector.

    When you select the particular index in the list it should retrieve file name from vector and start playing.

    Well depends what your "media files" are and if you are supplying them with your app ?
    That last one, if the media files are of considerable size, would be a very bad option... Immagine a JAR file including some video and mp3 files would result in a JAR file of 20-30 megabytes...
    Or do you want to make a MediaPlayer app which plays the already avaiable on-device media ?

    It sounds nice Kusumat, but what should be the responce of my application when user would change old play list with new one?
    in this way are'nt we bound to paly limited files that are previously stored in res folder.? Can we cahnge the files in "res" folder at run time when user add new songs to playList?
    Thankx Buddy.
    Hopping same responce in future Thankx a lot.

    You need to access the list of media files using JSR 75, FCA API from the memory card
    refer to source code of PDAPDemo - FC example - FileBroser code
    When user selects any file from list, open the fileConnection and pass the InputStream to the player to play it.
    Thanks,
    Ekta
