Question file save to phone memory of n70

    Hi,

i am trying to access phone memory using "System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos");".
for n70 & nokia 2700c to save an image.

and i am able to access the phone memory successfully on both devices.
on nokia 2700 i can access the phone memory , create folder & save image from j2me res folder to that particular path.
but for the same code on n70 i can access phone memory, create folder but can't save image .
also it it not giving any no exception on n70 but it's not creating any type of file not .png, not .txt

can any one tell how to deal with this.

    Thanks in advance........

Re: file save to phone memory of n70

On n70 try creating file directly on path returned by System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos") w/o creating a folder.

    Ref to http://www.forum.nokia.com/document/...79F5BE26E.html

Let us know, what path value you are getting for System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos") on both the devices ?
    Thanks,
    Ekta

    file:///C:/predefgallary/predefphotos/Images/

    file:///C:/Nokia/Images/

i created image folder in this path with test.jpg image file & i can view folder on phone iin phone memory /Nokia/Images/image/

Try to restart the phone n70 and then check if the newly created file is visible.
Try to access the same folder using any filemanger utility and see instead of Gallery.
    Thanks,
    Ekta

Re: file save to phone memory of n70

    As per
    http://www.forum.nokia.com/document/...79F5BE26E.html

    Example for S60:
    String url = System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos") + "myImage.jpg";
The Content of the URL is file:///c:/data/Images/myImage.jpg

    On n70 try this path hard coding - "file:///c:/data/Images/";

Try to run PDAPDemo FC example of WTK to see the actual path of place on the phone memory where photos are stored and try to store in same path.
    Thanks,
    Ekta

Is WTK PDAPDemo not working on your device ?

Try Testing your program on some other S60 device, with path url = String url = System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos") + "myImage.jpg"
    Thanks,

    Thanks for reply.......

i tested PDADemo example as well as this "System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos")"

Your app already works on 2700 i.e. S40, try to test it on N95 or N96 S60 3rd edition on RDA.... see if works on any S60.
    Thanks,

    or the path u specified
    "file:///c:/data/Images/"
    it's working on n96..

it means it is working on s60 3rd edition but what about s60 2nd edition(n70)?

Is your N70 any carrier branded or locked device, it looks you dont have permission to write on it from j2me.
