It may easily happen that the .lib comes with a .dll, which has to be installed on the device.

Now I do not know. Is XmppClient a library project built by you? What is its TARGETTYPE (in .mmp)?

    Re: Xmpp Client

Then there is no XmppClient.dll, and something else is missing. It may be a good time for exercising with the debugger.

Yes, the XmppClient.lib is fine. On "something else is missing" I meant the -1 (which is KErrNotFound, http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...OS_Error_Codes).

    Re: Xmpp Client

Not exactly. The .lib files are used when your program gets compiled. So if you have the .exe file (by the way, do you have it?), the .lib files (including XmppClient.lib) have been successfully used. The problem is somewhere else.
You can try removing the LIBRARY, STATICLIBRARY and CAPABILITY lines from the .mmp file you have posted, since they have no role in case of a library project. But it should not make any difference I think.

    Re: Xmpp Client

Don't you require this when compiling for device?
