    Wich SDK for N95?

    Hi,
I've installed the SDK S60 3rd FP2, but when, built the application with CarbideC++ for a GCCE release and created the .sis file, I install it into my N95, I've a compatibility error.

What's the problem? Have I to change SDK?

I think you have created a "Console based EXE" application from Carbide.c++ project wizard. To get rid of that particular error, you need to add the following line in your .pkg file:

    Code:
    ;Supports Series 60 v 3.0
    [0x101F7961], 0, 0, 0, {"Series60ProductID"}
PS: If you find trouble where to add that line in .pkg file, then create any GUI project and compare it with your exe project.

Yes, it's a "Console based EXE", and infact only in that way I solved the problem.

    Another question:
I can't see this app installed into the App Menu of my phone: this is still due to the fact that is a "Console based EXE"? Is there the way to start it?

Carbide.c++ does not create registration resource (practically: icon) to console-based .exe projects, but you can create one, just search for console icon in the Wiki (it is in the Community "menu" above).

Ok, I found the solution. Thanks.

But, only for information purpose, is there the possibility to launch the installed Application without the icon in App Menu?

Not really. Or at least not at your will.
Here and now I could name 4 ways for launching a .exe
    - via an icon
    - via an other application (RProcess is a class which can start a .exe)
    - at the time of installation/uninstallation, using the FR (FileRun) flag (with RI, RR, RB options - RunInstall, RunRemove, RunBoth) - however it requires trusted signing
    - at the time of device bootup (via the Startup List Management API) - it also requires trusted signing.
