So what is the stand used by QA team?

I submitted 6 apps in 2 weeks, I was becoming restless because of changing apps back and forth -- in fact, I didn't change anything but just resubmitted 'null' changes to QA, and luckly some are appoved and published.

Some funny and irresponsible comments given by Ovi QA team.

    1.
    FAILED: Invalid Support Website.
SUMMARY: The Support Website that you’ve listed does not provide any support information for consumers

The fact is, my support web site provides additional app screenshots, version upgrade history, as well as common questions for apps and Ovi Store, it completely matches the purpose of support URL “For consumers to find out more about your app”. Did Ovi QA really read the support URL?

I have submitted 6 apps, all have similar style of support page, 3 are successfully published but 3 are rejected. What are the stands of QA??

Just resubmitted them again, waiting for results.

    2.
SUMMARY: External billing is not allowed in Ovi Store.
ACTUAL RESULT: The application's website contains a "Purchase Licence" option.

There is only word I can give to this comment, "WTF". It never has anything about purchase license on my web site, where did this guy find out this??

I complainted to PublishToOvi.Support@nokia.com and resubmitted null change to QA again, it was approved and published very soon. funny.

    3.
Failed QA. ISSUE #1: SUMMARY: Error message received when launching the application.

This is the app to check data usage from mobile carrier, that requires valid MSISDN from that carrier, as well as valid ID#. The tester, firstly compiled a not-true test steps, secondly he/she completely ignored the 'error message' mentioned in his summary. the error message clearly said 'you are not able to get data usage because the information you provided is not correct", how could he treat this as app error?

I complainted to PublishToOvi.Support@nokia.com and resubmitted null change to QA again, it was approved and published very soon. funny^2.

    ============

I understand QA team may take care of thoudands of apps every day, but that does not mean they can do this unruly.

Re: So what is the stand used by QA team?

    Hi,

I had something similar. I submitted an app 2 months 1/2 ago, and it got published after a small issue 2 weeks after. Then, out of nowhere, after 1 month, I received a mail saying that the application was rejected (it was already on the OVI Store, and had already been bought by some people). I complained to the publish support address, and it got published after 2 days (again !). Same binary, no change on my side....

    Strange things happen sometimes

    Regards,
    Jérôme

    FAILED: Invalid Support Website.

complained and approved in 1 day... should I be happy or sad with this?

anyway new issue again, some of my apps are completely missing from certain devices, eg, I am given error message "The item is not available for your device Nokia E71".

I checked the Distribution / Devices, E71 is marked as "Fully Tested"... ...

Report is not updated too since last Thursday...

    What an experience!

    Hi,
I see a similar problem currently - the content assigning system seems to be broken ATM.

As for QA borkups: these happen sometimes. After all, the QA head also needs to hit his rejection quota.

    My 5 cents:
In the content editing form a restriction: to send only express or developer signed sis files
    but
QA rejected my apps becouse.....it is not unsigned!!

Re: So what is the stand used by QA team?

apps are missing from the whole 3rd FP1 devices because QA changed the 3rd FP1 device compatibility from 'fully tested" to "brief tested" because the guy found "invalid support website" when he/she test on 3rd FP1..... after i wrote complaint, they simply approved the apps without changing back compatibility status...

i am not the one who is carried away easily, but i feel i am now suffering from the fidgets, due to the unreasonable issues came from ovi store one after another...

Self-Signed is neither Express Signed nor Unsigned.

Let me suggest that you just submit one, and then repeat the process.
