I'm trying to upgrade an symbian OS application to communicate with a server. The server is a simple html - based system which replies to client contacts by sending back a data files which needs to be updated, and the client program replaces it's data files with the new ones. The server and the first version of the application (the version which does not handle the updating) are already working, so the task is to accomplish the communication parts of the application.
I tried to find some information on how to open the tcp/ip connection to the server, but I didn't find any useful information. So, can anyone help me with this case? How should I get started?
The application is made with C++ for series 80 devices (the Communicators).
