    to display an immutable image

    (1) I know how to put an immutable Image on the form using the ImageItem class.
But can I use ImageItem class to diplay the image as the foreground image?
I mean even under other other items, for example, TextField, the image must be displayed.

    (2) When we display an image in the form, we have to modify the size of the image manually before using that image in the program? For a large image, the program will give the scroll bar. If we want to display a small image, we need to modify the image manually?

    (3) I set the image ,which I want to use in the program , in the res folder manually. Is there any other way to do that?

Re: to display an immutable image

    (1) sorry don't understand what ur asking
    (2) yup, if you want a smaller version of your Image you will have to make a smaller version "manually" (programmatically), have a look for "resizing" and/or "thumbnails"
    (3) As in you want to place it into other folders or do you want to automate it, thus not oding it manually ?

    (1) For example, when we display a textfield and an image, they are displayed on the screen separately.
The textfield may be above the image.
What I want to do is the image must be displayed as the foreground image. The textfield must be displayed on the image.
Some part of the image must not be seen because of the textfield.
Have you got it? Sorry, my English is not good enough.

ok, you want an image as a background...
Well by using standard high level j2me gui items it's not possible, so you will ahve to sue a 3rd part gui library like lwuit or j2me polish, or you can create your own by using canvas to display the Image and make your own canvas-based implementation for the textfield...
