    Re: how to use Symbian OS starter? Is there UID right problem?

    Reading your initial post I had a feeling that your application installed, just not started on boot.
    If it does not install at all, consider commenting the file-deployment lines, and uncomment them line by line, and try installing it after each modification. Then you will see where the problem appears.

        symbianSystemInclude = "APP_LAYER_SYSTEMINCLUDE"
        autoStart = "SOURCEPATH /data" \
        "START RESOURCE [ed4be29d].rsc" \
        "TARGETPATH		/private/101f875a/import" \
        "LANG SC" \
        "END"
        MMP_RULES += autoStart
        MMP_RULES += symbianSystemInclude
        TARGET.UID3 = 0xED4BE29D
        TARGET.EPOCSTACKSIZE = 0x5000
        TARGET.EPOCHEAPSIZE = 0x20000 \
            0x1000000
        TARGET.EPOCALLOWDLLDATA = 1
        TARGET.CAPABILITY = LocalServices \
            ReadUserData \
            WriteUserData \
            NetworkServices \
            UserEnvironment \
            WriteDeviceData \
            ReadDeviceData
    }

    The toolchain can not handle [], that is why all related examples and discussions generate that resource without [], and rename it in the .pkg file when deploying to the device.
    It even appears in your very own post, #4
