    Detecting full screen mode

How can full screen mode be detected by my application?

Ideally I'd like to be able detect when ANY app goes full screen...

But at least I need to be able detect when Browser goes full screen...

    Can you help please?

I don't think you can really get any event's for that, anyway, why would you need it ?

    Re: Detecting full screen mode

I can live without being notified, I have fixed points when I can poll/check... and why do I need it?
Because annoyingly 3rd party developers can't define their own Indicator icons (for service type app without UI)... I know how to draw and icon so it looks like Indicator Icon however I need to remove the icon when some app (and definitely when Browser) goes full screen...

    Any ideas?

I'm not still getting it, what do you mean by "I have fixed points when I can poll/check" ?

I would assume some kind of image processing, for example checking if the location of the battery/signal pane contains something that looks like the signal/battery indicator.

In other words, getting events/notifications woudl be nice, but not needed. Logic of my app is such that I know when to ask if some app (browser) is full screen... so give ve IsFullScreen or similar and I'm a happy man ;)

Anyway that is not important, the original question stands... how can I find out if some other app (or at least browser) is in full screen so my app can give decent user experience (and does not spoil full screen mode of browser)...

Can anyone help? Or Nokia simply doesn't provide 3rd party developers such functionality?

I thought about that briefly... but can this be made robust enough and not dependant on UI skin?

    Re: Detecting full screen mode

Propably not too easy to make it robust ans reliable. Anyway, if you really need to know the Browsers UI only, then you might want to experiment on modules that are loaded for the browser, and try using some communications (for example RProperty) from the loaded module to the process you need the infomration.

For example I would suppose HTTP filters to be loaded to the Web browser process, so you could try out what stuff you could see when it gets loaded into teh browser..
