Question How can I use platformRequest () for accessing the filesystem file..

I don't exactly able to convey my question but my problem is like..
I want to see the file protocols support for videos files. I have tried to access platformRequest() for different URL's

platformRequest( http://www.mobileplayground.co.uk/vi...azy%20Frog.3gp ); // it works fine but for

platformRequest( file:///c:/Videos/sample.3gp ); // it gives some exception like Platform request error, Unsupported URL..

Can you please suggest me weather i can use file system url in platformRequest()

    Sorry for my bad English..
    Regards
    Nilanchala

File URL is supported in platform request, try putting a HTML file on your device file system try this.

platformRequest( file:///c:/Videos/sample.3gp ) - might not be working due to some issue with the path. - Are you testing on emulator or real device?
    Thanks,

Hi Ekta.. Thanks for your reply..
I am testing the same in real device. and even i have copied the .3gp file in required path..
Is there any way that i can find out weather the URL that i provided is correct..????
And even it throws ConnectionNotFoundException which i was exploring.. It throws if protocles are not supported also.. ???
So what can be the problem if it supports file protocol( as you said )??

Try WTK PDAPDemo file connection example on the device for this.
    Thanks,

What device? file:// URLs appear to work with platformRequest() on Series 60 devices (3rd Edition and later), but not on Series 40s.
