    Medicine App

    HI!
i am doing this app where it requires the App to invoke on its own at regular intervals,
the problem is this should happen at the specified time given by the user.
example:if a person wants to take a tablet XYZ at 8am,2pm and 10pm the App should invoke at these
    specific times.
Also,if the user wants he can add more than 1 tablet...so he might have 3 tablets which he wants to take at the specified time
the app should invoke again at different times.
I have no idea how this goes about, please help!!!!

    ITS really urgent!!!

    Hi deepakkinni ,

ya you can do that you need to understand the push-registry in j2me . Go through the below articale it will help you in understanding that.

Refer to this FN wiki code example - you can set Push Registry on Alarm to invoke the app on specified time of the day... and display the tab's to be taken at that time.

    @ektasrv and bhanu

the prog given by ektasrv works oly when the application is alive....once exited it will not sound any alarm or give any alerts

and the problem with push registry is it can set-up only one alarm!!!...in that case user cannot input more than one medcine!!!

one logic is:each time the alarm goes on i will re-schedule my next alarm according to the user input time already stored in the database..
but then again there is a possibility that the user can have his cellphone switched when the alarm was supposed to go of....In this case waht would happen is all the further alarm setting up would be jeopardized.....this is not acceptable....

i am really confused on to what logic to use!!

On Nokia device the Alarm works even when the device is OFF.

You can also make this application as AutoStart & Background app; which can fire the alarm based on user Inputs at a predefined time.
    Thanks,

    Re: Medicine App

For Nokia S40 you can try this:

    Nokia-MIDlet-auto-start

    Series 40 3rd Edition FP 2

Indicates how the MIDlet is auto-started at power on.

    yes, no, or once

    Example:

    Nokia-MIDlet-auto-start: yes

For Autostart then use the FN wiki example..
    Thanks,
