Lightbulb Data encryption for web service calls, any thoughts?

    Hi all,
I'm currently thinking about what is the best way to encrypt the data communicate between WRT javascripts and Web services.
Say for example if you're selling an app, of course you don't want ppl sniff your web service url calls from ur phones, coz ppl might need to pay for data, right? how can my webService knows the caller is from the WRT app only? any thoughts?

    Chrs,
    Wenz

HTTPS/SSL encrypts the data between the client and web server.

HTTP/HTTPS also supports multiple mechanisms for authentication (basic, digest, client certificates). At least basic authentication (username/password) should work with WRT.
